According to its functional characteristics, PDU can be divided into several types. Let's describe it in detail.
Basic PDU
Every home and office has such a solution. These devices are used for safety industrial formats, and also comes with cheap cost.
When using an open rack, the standard PDU may required to distribute varies kinds of electrical demands.
Typical PDU type for racks with IT equipment. This type of PDU has the appropriate shape factor to place on both sides of the column. This makes the device easy to connect. In addition, these decisions have inherent protection.
However, as with the previous type, monitoring is not possible in this case. Therefore, the power consumption cannot be monitored.

Intelligent PDU
These devices have a "brain" that is, they can trace power consumption. They are equipped with a special display screen to display power, voltage and current values. You can monitor them through a single socket group (bank or zone).
